Week 5, Term 1, 2021

 Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I raced in one length freestyle and one length backstroke. I came 4th and 5th in the races. During relays, I cheered on Orewa.

We had two art sessions this week and I had to make a landscape but the different areas had different patterns. In the second art session we practiced painting, we had to create different shades of colors to paint the shapes.

In reading this week we have been doing book detectives, the book that we have been listening to is called The magic finger. To be a book detective we had to do summarising and predicting. 

Part of our maths programme is NumBots and I think I am quite good at it, I made it up to Chrome. It’s getting harder and harder, but not too hard for me

Week 4, Term 1, 2021

 The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week was Takaro because I could play with different people.

We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Mrs Kennedy.  Our art is going to be a landscape, but the different areas have different patterns.

We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look Amazing, my one only had a few pictures, it still looks great. I did mine with Kiarna because my mum had to go to work. I’m really excited to see them on the ceiling/night sky!!!!

Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling nervous because I’m not really a good swimmer, but I’m excited to cheer on my house team and friends!!!

Week 3, Term 1, 2021

 Someone who I helped with their learning this year was Heidi, I helped her link her blog and put her avatar on her blog.

The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time is swimming cause it’s one of my favorite sports.

The most fun thing that I have done at a play or lunchtime this year was playing tug a war with all my friends.

One word that describes learning in Whetu is entertaining.

Something I am looking forward to is the Whetu challenge because so far all of the other ones have been very fun.

 This year Whetu made avatars like last year. 

My avatar does not really look like me, but I tried.

It has a lighter skin tone than mine.

Case Closed

 During this term, we have been doing a crime scene we have to solve, and Mrs Taffee came to confess that she did the crime, we had proof so she could not lie. The proof was that: She came on the day the crime happen, her shoe is the right size, she went to the hairdressers after she dropped off stuff at school, Her fingerprints were on the crime scene, and of course there is much more proof.

Who: Mrs Taffee

What: Stole the HDMI and took a few Milky Ways (18).

Where: Whetu team, Milky Way room.

How:  Her casting was not working so she decided to take the HDMI in Whetu, she went to the office to turn off the alarm. She took the HDMI and a few Milky Ways.

When: Sunday 11th at 3pm was when the crime was discovered.

Grammar Cop

 This week I did Grammar Cop online. It was really fun to work on my grammar skills.

I had to add Capital letters and commas, basically fixing the sentence.

For the letter of the week, the letter was C. I really like this one because I made it like the old ones I did the last term.
